soundtrack: the dollhouse

During Greg's 30th Birthday party at the elmo restaurant in New York, me and Reggie went over to the DJ to request a song. "Do you have the song, Damaged?"I asked. The DJ replied, all you have to do is go upstairs.

"Huh? What do you mean?" I said.

"They are right upstairs, just go up there and see."

Reggie and I quickly ran towards the door to see was it really true. As we go up the steps and turn the corner, we immediately saw Aubrey in the corner booth. It was them, Making the Band themselves! We run back down the stairs giddy, and tried to come up with a plan to have them come to our private party downstairs and/or meet them!

So we grabbed the camera and ran back up the stairs. We didn't want to see like eager fans and ruin there dining experience. We asked Dee, one of the boldest of the the group to go over and ask them to check us out at our party. All his drunk azz kept saying was, "Who is Danity Kane?" We couldn't send him in there, then they would have never meet us!

Plan B.

We asked one of the waiter's was it ok to go over there. He said he knew Aubrey, but didn't think they would come downstairs. Could we just say Hi maybe. He went over and asked them, and gave us the go ahead! So we took a deep breath and headed our way over! Here are the photos...

Aubrey & Shannon were very much enjoying there drinks but still looked flawless! At one point Aubrey made a joke and started singing the "Damaged" song.

Dawn who is one of my favorites was very nice when I shook her hand. I asked her how did she feel about the album coming out, and she replied: "I'm Drunk, so I'm feeling good!" Baby, so was I!

As we looked over to the other tables we saw D. Woods and her entourage in the corner. We had to go over to see her. When I tell you this woman is flawless, she is flawless! Damn! I told her that I was trying to buy her album but it was sold out everywhere. She was shocked and asked us to buy it on Tuesday so hopefully they could make it to #1 for a second week! She was mad cool for us to take a photo with us!

Then there was little Aundrea who is the cutest thing! Can you believe she is shorter then me... and she had heals on! Got to love her! The funny thing about seeing celebrities is that they all look so much bigger on TV, but they were all very small and slender... very good looking!

It was really cool to meet them. During the end of the night, we saw Aubrey talking very close and intimate with one of the guys from Day 26 by the bathroom... and no it wasn't Donnie, they are just friends right? I won't personally reveal who it was, I like for people to have there privacy, but I sure was shocked to see them together!

I will post more photos from Greg's party tomorrow!

soundtrack: icebox

For this edition of Soundtrack, I'm going to highlight the song I have to dance to. One of my good friends, Brandon, err... Tyson is going to be in... how do I put this? A Gay Pageant? He is going competing for Mr. Gay New Jersey. He got second place last year, and trying to bring the crown home this year. I am really proud of him, because he is really motivated. I was honored when he asked me to be one of his back up dancers.

You think I wouldn't be nervous right? I mean I have danced on 106&Park in front of a live audience, national tv, and in front of the biggest selling female group of all time... but this is different! I have never learned a routine before, and it is VERY challenging.

So we have been practicing for 3 months now. We had a choreographer teach us the basics in a dancer studio, and finished up and polished the dance in my house. It is only 2 more weeks till show time, and I think I am ready... I think. Ok I know the steps, but I want to bang it out! I want to be on point! The other dancers have been helping me out, and I appreciate it. Hopefully I can get a video of the actual performance, until then, here we are practicing.

Sorry for the sideways view, the cameraman is an idiot!

soundtrack: aint nothing like me

It's very rare that I will fall in love with an entire album, and all the songs really reflect what I am feeling at the time. Brandy's albums (Never Say Never & Full Moon) are the only ones that come to my head right now. Well seems that Joe's newest album has done it! Who Knew? I'm not even a big Joe fan, but when I previewed his album online, the album was amazing!

YOU SHOULD KNOW ME
"...I would die before I would hurt you..."

This song is all about trust in a relationship. All of us are guilty of it. Just think about it? How many times have you found out from somebody that there man with another dude at a party, or they was was talking to a whole bunch of guys off the Internet...and it didn't sit well with you. Then you go up to your man accusing him of this and that, without asking him his side of the story!

Shouldn't we start to put more trust in our men, and don't always jump the gun? Or will we always think that all men are dogs? Know your man.

My Love
"...I have never been the type for holding in, or holding out for sex, but I think I guess I see where its different, but I can't hold it anymore..."

All week, Fuzz and I haven't had sex... mostly on my part. I have been really tired, and been through small depression spells. Now that the weekend is here, as listening to this song, I can't wait to give him my love!

Sometimes it isn't all about doing it every night, and trying to break there back in. It is even more special to wait, have time to think about it, hold off until your both ready to enjoy one another. It makes it so much more special. Sex is like 50% mental as it is physical.

IF I WAS YOUR MAN
"...no more lies, just want to get it right this time..."

What I like about this song is that, love really brings the change in people. When will we stop complaining that there aren't any good men in the world, and realize we need to become that GOOD MAN in ourselves? We always talking about how all men cheat, lie, but have at times been guilty of it ourselves. Even if we aren't at that extreme, there is something within ourselves that allows us not to get or keep a man. Before trying find Mr. Right, let us try to be a man, and get it right.

soundtrack: last night

This song is so HOT! Diddy & Keyshia Cole really did there thing! Since me and Sean have the same name (different spellings) I found it fitting to create myself like his latest album cover, Press Play.

Tight? I know!

DESPERATION... That feeling of security. Gone.
PAIN. HEARTACHE. It's as if your world is coming to and end...
Haven't we all been there before?

What do you do when you have to let go?

I know I have had my fair share of broken hearts, and remember each memory of the last night I was with them. As much as I would love the tell the story of each one, I rather not relive or retell all of them. I do want to tell this one story.

His name was Kevin. Oh Kevin...

He was tall, dark, & handsome. Don't we all love that! He lived in New York, and worked near Wallstreet. I met him at a house party. We hit it off right away. He told me, "Can I be your date for tonight?" I was like, sure... and held me all night, while we danced, as we played games, he even held me tighter so I wouldn't leave. He was so hot! He had an amazing smile, toned body, and a 11 inch dick! Very Funny, mild mannered, and educated. A true gentlemen.

But of course, there was no such thing as a perfect Gentlemen.
He had just moved into an apartment with his roomate, and he didn't have a cell phone or a house phone. The only way to communicate with him was through a pay phone. Even then, I could only talk to him for 10 minutes, or for how long his phone card would last. Man... that was a lot of waiting by the phone. But I loved him, and I did talk to him every night.

We did spend New Years together. We spent a night I will never forget.

That wouldn't be the only night I wouldn't I would forget. We had been dating for 3 months, and on this night, he called me. Much like everytime, I was happy to hear his deep & mellow voice. As we talked, I asked him if I could see him that weekend. He told me that we needed to talk. He explained to me that his roomate was not his roomate at all, but his ex! They got the apartment together, but had broken up and was free to date other people. While he did love me, his ex said that he wanted to try to make them work, if not he was moving to another state forever.

Kevin wanted to try it one more time...
and break my heart for the first.

I bursted in tears as if I had no control over it. How could he do this to me? I have been nothing but good to him, and he leaves me for him? That weekend we met at the World Trade Center, which was close to his Job. We sat there, as I looked into his eyes, and started to cry again. He held me as people in the lobby looked on. I didn't care. I was heartbroken. He told me he still loved me, kissed me one last time, and went on his way.

A couple of months later, the Twin Towers came crumbling down.
To this day, my spirit believes that he died on 9/11 since he worked so close.

I never heard from again.
The night he broke my heart, was the Last Night I ever saw him.

Soundtrack: Beautiful Liar

Ok guys, in the next couple of weeks, I'm going to be making some changes to my blog content. I am really going to focus on really letting out some things that is on my mind. While driving home, I was listening to some songs on the radio. As I was listening and thinking... there are a lot of songs out that really could be the SOUNDTRACK to my life! Or to take it further, there are some really cool concepts in today's music that could give us a message about how life is.

I really want to talk about some of these songs and really tell my story from the music, or talk about the impact of the message behind the song. Sounds cool? So a couple times a month, I'm going to do a post called SOUNDTRACK which will feature a song that I want to talk about.

First up...

"Beautiful Liar"
by Beyonce and Shakira.

I could talk all day about how I so badly want to shake my azz like these two, but let me keep my gay thoughts to myself. Like the first line says, "Nobody likes to be played." I feel like I have come across a "Beautiful Liar."

Somebody that I thought was so intelligent, so talented, and so beautiful inside and out, just turned to become a liar... a liar of our friendship. How can somebody you consider a friend, just turn on you, and cut you out of your life JUST LIKE THAT! No conversation, no reasons, just stopped calling, didn't return your phone call, just acted like you didn't exsist.

When you said we was cool, was that a lie? When you said you needed me, was that a lie? When you said you was fine and everything was ok, was that a lie?

Beautiful Liar.

People do wrong, and people makes mistakes... yet you would think that a friendship would last through all of that. You know that if something was bothering me, I would confront you. You know that if someone disrespected you, I would stick up for you. You know that outside of anyone else, at least, you could have talked to me! But you didn't... and that pisses me off.

Why did you have to become a Beautiful Liar?

So I say this to you...

Let's not kill the karma
Let's not start a fight
It's not worth the drama
Let us not become Beautiful Liars

Can we laugh about it
It's not worth our time
We can live beyond this
and not become Beautiful Liars.

If I have done you any wrong, call me, shout at me, curse me out, but don't act like I'm not here. I miss you.
