Thanksgiving & Such

Ok, so I don't really have nothing to say per se... but Hey, I will just talk off the dome! Well Thanksgiving is tomorrow! I had a huge dilemma. I can either...

A) Spend Thanksgiving with my Mother, Sister, EVIL Step Father and his family,

B) Spend Thanksgiving with my new friend and meet his family.

It's hard because, I'm so not a Thanksgiving type person. For the past three years I have spent it ALL BY MYSELF, and I loved it! I'm a family person, but then again, not really. I mostly just want to feel comfortable in my space, and I know I won't be if I go to my mom's house. I love my Mom, lord knows I do, but I had to tell her yesterday I wasn't going. She was a little hurt, and I did feel guilty, but I'm 28 years old now, I'm grown! I can go where ever I want! I have NO problem spending Christmas with her and the family, I mean I do it every year. It is not like I don't see her all the time, she lives around the corner! LOL. I just have to make it up to her.

Meeting his family should be interesting. I have to be on point, you know, cause I don't want the family later saying, "I don't know about this one." Or something like that. So I have to be happy, smile a lot, be respectable. Offer to do stuff, ask questions, just interact. I hope they aren't crazy though! Like the Klumps or something... actually that might be kinda funny! They all know about that, so that helps A LOT. I won't make put it out there though. I mean the main thing my friends always worry about is finding a guy they can bring around the family. So I just have to be that dude!

I should be back from there on Friday, and I have the whole weekend to hang out with my boys, so I'm happy about that. Maybe do some clubbing or something, that would be hot!  Well let me get back to work. I get off at like 2pm, and we have a big huge lunch here, and Mom made us some Baked Mac & Cheese, so I'm excited!

Check out the VIDEO below, its really pointless and funny, but at least u can see me in my most vulnerable moments...

Just want to give a shout out to Jermaine, Brandon & Calvin...
I know we havn't been close in awhile, but I still love you guys!

An Abstract Attraction

Maybe I'm protecting him. Maybe I'm protecting other people's feelings. Maybe I'm protecting myself... right now, I can't hold it in anymore.

Moving on from a past relationship is tough. Moving on from a relationship in Blog World is even tougher! I made a decision to allow my boyfriend to blog along side me knowing the blessings and the consequences behind it. It has been a joy to see him grow, gain new friendships, and express himself via his blog. I have been very open and very candid about our relationship so that maybe it could be an inspiration for others. The downside is that, I have had to "tone down" or "delete" or down right "say nothing" about certain issues between him and I, that I always wanted to express. My experience has been filtered. Overall, I will always respect our privacy and honor our friendship.

With all that to say, I can't deny the want and need to express the most greatest feeling known to man. LOVE. In all its stages. From a simple crush to infatuation.  From sexual desires, to falling in love. From hurt & pain, to making up. These are the feelings and dreams and desires I long for. And Blog World, I so want to express. So with that I bring you this blog post.

An  Abstract Attraction
by ShawnQt

Abstraction is the process or result of generalization by reducing the information content of a concept or an observable phenomenon, typically in order to retain only information which is relevant for a particular purpose.

I am attracted to a beautiful man.

It doesn't matter who he is, how old he is, where he came from, what he looks like. To You and to me is a beautiful man, and I'm attracted to him. He came to me in the most friendliest of ways. I knew who he was. Short like I was, but strong enough to carry anything. Well not everything. He needed help with a stage prop. It was for a show. I was in it to. A backup dancer, here obtaining my dream to entertain. He was here to support his boyfriend, I mean his girlfriend, no wait I guess his boyfriend. When there are wigs and makeup involved you never know! Yet he was very strong. Masculine even. Maybe a bit of a thug. I didn't know, all I knew was that he needed help, and I did.

That would be the first time seeing him.

Months past, and I was parading online, and there he was again with her, I mean him. They looked cute together. Always wondered how it worked, such a juxtaposition. While "attractive" in nature, I never thought anything else of it. Until now. How he came to me was in the most simplest of ways. Three Letters and a Blue screen, if your gay, then you know what I mean. Like I said, he came to me in the most friendliest of ways.

Yet being Single, both at the same time just seemed right. I never did believe at love at first sight, but "attraction" I can admit to. Have you ever met someone and both of you guys just smile at the same time? As if you guys knew each other before you met? It is very abstract really.

The tingling feeling you get, the tightness of your face when you smile. The warmness of the hug. It just all felt right, in the mist of of my slut puppiness & insecurities. As he came inside with a house filled with dudes, all I could see was him. Many where shocked, wondering where he came from and who he was. It didn't matter to me. All that matter was that I was drifted away for a moment. I will admit the liquor helped.

From the first time I saw him that night, until now, he has been with me every single day. Why? I think its our abstract attraction to something that we all enjoy that is keeping us close and near. Companionship. Sexual Desires. Mutual Trust. Inspiration. Even the possibility of... LOVE.

Yet when ever LOVE exist, there is FEAR. Fear that it is to soon, fear that this is only for a moment, fear of trust, dishonesty & jealousy. What will this abstract attraction bring.... only time will tell.

my // truth:: {s}

1. truth: never have I feared loved so much in my life. it saddens me that it will never be the same again. not bitter. more cautious. I hope I don't turn into a "heart-breaking boy."

2. truth: I don't hate you anymore. I forgive you. I love you. yet even still, you continue to break my heart every single time you don't become the person your suppose to be. your choices have to be better then you. you have god. use "him".

3. truth: yes, I am going through post election syndrome. so much energy put forth to make him our president, and now I have nothing to have passion for. what is next? why can't I be creative? I need inspiration now more then ever.

4. truth: BGC sucks. everyone knows it. why do we continue to use it. me included. its not all bad. I met a great person from there. I guess when it doesn't serve me anymore, it will cease to exist. that's why I'm going to facebook.

5. truth: I hate cheaters. I hate seeing people cheat. yet, I understand why people cheat. worst yet, I know I have the ability to cheat as well. that is the part of myself I hate. I don't want to be a cheater. period.

6. truth: age is just a number. maturity isn't. I respect every one's stage in there life, but at what point, do you realize who you really are and what you want out of life. if anyone can give me a number, I will store that in my phone.

7. truth: if you liked it then you should have put a ring on it. don't be mad when you see that he wants it // damaged... damaged, I thought that I should let you  know. now how you going to to fix it, fix it, fix it...  why do I cry when I hear these two fast songs?

8. truth: me not having a mustache and beard has made me so insecure. I want it back so badly. when I tell you I have no desire to EVER be a girl again, I mean it. yet I so love Olivia. I love being a man with a dick in between my legs. and its quite big to. I just say that for shock value, but it is true.

9. truth: I say I want friends, but I really don't. I have so many people I'm already cool with, why not spend the time getting to know them first? why don't I just build up the true friendships I already have? life isn't myspace, why do we treat it as such?

10. truth: I need time to breath. be still. quiet all of my surroundings. I feel GOD whispering in my ear, but I can't hear. once I start telling all my truths, then GOD will start telling me GOD's.

Inspired by JW. I inspire you to do the same on your blog or in your personal diary.

If you didn't know how important I felt about DREAMS, then this is a testimony of it now. When you want something so bad, it can happen. THOUGHTS and WORDS are powerful! Dr. King put something out into the universe, and this is the result of it. Our world has now CHANGED into something new, something much closer to the world we need to live in. I have never been so proud to be a black man in my life then to see Obama become President of the United States of America.

But this is so much more then him. He is now the ICON of what we as a people have been trying to uphold for centuries. CHANGE. HOPE. BELIEF. FREEDOM. These are the things that will carry us into this new world, and OBAMA has now been put as a SYMBOL of that. ART has always been a way that we record and communicate the THOUGHTS WE BELIEVE IN, and I just wanted to honor that by showcasing some of the artwork that we have created for our new President!

So tomorrow I'm taking the day office to hopefully volunteer in some way with the Obama campaign, (like they really need it in New Jersey) because what is important is that every vote counts! I plan to have an Obama Rally at my house, so anyone who would like to attend, but all means let me know!

I also found this really cool ad, that I wanted to share.

Also is some good VOTING INFO, if you don't know already...

Top 12 Questions About Voting

1. Can you wear an Obama or McCain T-shirt to the polls?
Yes and no, depending on where you vote. Wiretap says you can't be denied the right to vote but you can be asked to cover the parts of your clothing that are advertising your candidate. In addition, some states -- such as California, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania and New York -- restrict anything that can be considered campaign material within 50 to 150 feet of voting sites.

2. Are there two different election days for Republicans and Democrats?
No, despite a deceptive flier circulating in Virginia that says Republicans and Democrats vote on different days, everyone votes on Tuesday, November 4.

3. Can you be denied the right to vote because of home foreclosure?
No, says NBC News.

4. Can students who change address to vote be dropped from their parents' insurance or lose financial aid?
No, says NBC News. You have the right to vote anywhere you live that you consider your home.

5. Is a driver's license the only acceptable form of identification?
No. Except for Georgia and Indiana, you can use other forms of ID, says NBC News.

6. Will outstanding parking tickets make you ineligible to vote?
No, says NBC News.

7. Can I vote if my name is not on the voter rolls?
Yes. If your right to vote is challenged, ask election officials to cast a "provisional ballot" and follow up with election officials later, says NBC News. If you have any voting problems, you can also call the Election Protection hotline at 1-866-OUR-VOTE (1-866-687-8683) to get immediate legal advice, says Wiretap.

8. Can I vote if the address on my driver's license is different from my current address?
Yes, says Wiretap. "The driver's license is strictly used to verify a voter's identity, not place of residence. State law requires that you vote in the precinct in which you live. If you're not sure where your polling location is, visit"

9. Can I vote if I'm not registered?
No. Every state except North Dakota requires voters to register before voting.

10. Do absentee ballots really count?

11. Can I vote if I've been convicted of a felony?
It depends on the state. Only two states -- Kentucky and Virginia -- deny the right to vote to all ex-offenders. Some states require ex-offenders to petition to regain the right to vote while other states allow ex-offenders to vote after they've completed their sentence.

12. Can I avoid jury duty by not voting?
Not necessarily. "There are other sources for jury lists besides voting records," says Don Wright, general counsel for the North Carolina State Board of Elections. "If you've got a driver's license, you're already on the hook," he told IndyWeek.

And of course, make sure that you check out my OBAMA VIDEO
if you haven't already!
